Comments:

-Janet Braide and Nancy Parke-Taylor, Caroline and Frank Armington, Canadian Painter-Etchers in Paris; published by the Art Gallery of Peel, 1990.

Page 48, ‘’….Caroline further publicized her work by publishing a small book of twelve etchings of Paris,…  ..., and in the early 1920s was sold at Parisian bookshops, such as W.H. Smith and Son on the rue du Rivoli, and at Brentano’s …’’

Evidences were found that this booklet seemed to be already available in February 1918:

-Article in American Art News, Vol. 16, No. 20, Feb. 23, 1918, p.5.

-One copy dedicated by someone to another person with his best wishes for the 1918-1919 Christmas and New Year.

-‘’Twelve Little Views of Paris’’.

Included 11 reproductions of some of her Paris prints and one pencil signed original of her print titled ‘’Ponton du Louvre, Paris’’.

This album was printed by Bishop & Garrett, printers in Paris and is not dated.

It was published with a soft cover of various colors (see photos).

It is not known if the full edition of 1500 albums was actually printed and if the original etching of the Ponton du Louvre was also printed by Bishop and Garrett.

Caroline Armington also produced a drawing or an etching for the title label on the cover and the front page of the album. It bears the title ‘’Twelve Little Views of Paris by Caroline H. Armington’’ on a background which is very similar to the subject of her print of the Ponton du Louvre.
