Dorothy Hoffman Hudson (1899–1979) was an American socialite from a prominent Oklahoma and Texas family.

She was born on July 4th 1899 in Oklahoma City and died on October 22, 1979 (aged 80) in East Houston, Texas.

She was the daughter of Major General Roy Hoffman (1869-1953), a highly distinguished military officer who served as an aide to General John J. Pershing during World War I and Estelle Conklin Hoffman (1878-1967).

 

In 1925, she married Hubert R. Hudson (1888-1940), an affluent businessman who owned the Ada and Atoka Oklahoma Railroad.

 

The family lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, before later relocating to Brownsville, Texas, and Williamstown, Massachusetts.

 

Mrs. Roy Hoffman was Estelle Conklin Hoffman, a prominent Oklahoma City civic leader, socialite, and the wife of one of the state's most famous early figures, Major General Roy V. Hoffman.

As the wife of a highly decorated Major General, attorney, and wealthy oil investor, Estelle was at the absolute center of Oklahoma City’s high society in the 1920s.

 

She was the sister of Margaret Hoffman Vose (1902-1980).

 

On June 3, 1925, Margaret married Charles Alden Vose, an influential banker who went on to lead the First National Bank & Trust Co. of Oklahoma City.

 

Charles Alden Vose was the son of Richard Alden Vose and Lyda Drowne Conger Vose.

 

Dorothy Hoffman Hudson was related to Lyda Conger Vose by marriage, as Lyda was the mother-in-law of Dorothy's sister

 

The family connection between these prominent Oklahoma City families unfolds through the following lineage:
