During the 1920s, Winfield Scott Hayden and Helen Louise Hayden were most probably an established couple living and working in the Midwest / Upper South region (predominantly tracked across the Kentucky, Indiana, and southern Illinois borders).

 

Simonne Humphrey Weston (1906-1995) was the wife of S. Burns Weston.

​

In the mid-1920s, S. Burns Weston was a young American scholar completing his graduate studies abroad at the Sorbonne in Paris, France.

During this period in Paris, he met Simonne Humphrey, a Frenchwoman.

Following his studies, they married in Paris and relocated to the United States so he could attend Yale Law School, graduating in 1929.

They remained married for 65 years. Her husband became a prominent Cleveland litigator, civil rights advocate, and civic leader.
