He specialised in corporate reorganisations and was heavily involved in financing the Tubize Rayon Corporation. He accumulated massive holdings in this textile manufacturing firm, which later merged into the Celanese Corporation of America—where he eventually served as a board director.

In 1937, he was married to Eleanor Geneva White.
