In 1927 Caroline Armington recorded in her sales book that she received $ 50 for this book plate from Mrs. Kent Hayes from Oklahoma City.
Lyda Conger Vose and Mrs. Kent Hayes (Margaret Vose Hayes) were prominent figures in Oklahoma City high society and members of a highly influential banking family.
They were mother and daughter:
Lyda Conger Vose was the wife of Richard Alden Vose, an extremely wealthy and prominent Oklahoma City businessman and banker.
Lyda Drowne Conger (1880–1971) married the prominent Oklahoma City businessman Richard Alden Vose.
Mrs. Kent Hayes was her daughter, Margaret Vose Hayes (1905-1976) married Kent Buell Hayes, who was a well-known Oklahoma City banker associated with the First National Bank and Trust Company.
